KELT is offering FREE children's programs, with the Patten Free Library in May.

The two programs will offer spring themed stories and outdoor activities for children 6 years old and younger. Young children and chaperoning adults will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of nature.

Tuesday, May 29 at 10-11 am:

Funny Frogs & Tiny Tadpoles at Thorne Head Preserve

Croaking frogs! Slippery tadpoles! Join naturalist, Becky Kolak, to explore a pond full of amphibian life. We’ll read a tadpole tale, catch amphibians and their friends to observe, and make froggy chapeaus!

Parents are welcomed and encouraged to take part in the activities. Long pants and closed toed shoes that can get wet and muddy are recommended.

To sign-up, contact the Patten Free Library’s Children’s Room at 443-5141 ext. 17 or childrens@patten.lib.me.us.

To get to Thorne Head Preserve, go north on High Street which dead ends into the parking lot of the preserve.
