KELT Kids Summer Day Camp
Come join Kennebec Estuary Land Trust and Brightfield educators for a week of exploration and play at the Brightfield School in Bath. Every day will be a new adventure!
Registration is at the Brightfield School website.
what’s new:
This year, our nature day camp will bring you to the most beautiful places on the Maine coast and in the Kennebec Estuary in the summer! With our new home base at the experiential Brightfield School in Bath, we have a beautiful basecamp and a passenger van that can bring campers on daily excursions. Together, we will discover amazing local spots and memorable moments - every day will be a new adventure!
Campers will hike in Thorne Head, learn to paddleboard on Sewell Pond, hike Morse Mountain, & learn to clam at Reid (and then build a fire and make fresh clam chowder!). Our week will culminate in a beach day at Fort Popham. Our educators come with decades of experience in experiential education that will guarantee some truly sparkling experiences outside in the ponds, marshes, oceans, and forests of this special corner of Maine.
KELT has been running a beloved day camp out of Sewell Pond in Arrowsic for years, and this new collaboration with Brightfield will let KELT Kids Camp transform into an even more epic nature camp - with better staff support and the ability to travel offsite. We can't wait for you to discover our favorite natural places with us!

There is high demand for summer day camp and we will run registration on a modified lottery basis to give all families an equitable (and hopefully less stressful) opportunity to enroll. We will prioritize placing all campers in one week of camp per year before considering requests to register for multiple sessions. If you are interested in multiple sessions at Brightfield (there are other camps outside of KELT Nature Camp!), please rank your preferences in the registration form.
Camper slots will be allocated within two weeks, and we will contact all families then if you have a spot in camp, or where you are on the waitlist.
Once you have secured your spot, please complete your camp payment and additional forms by March 1. If you have not registered by March 1st, you forfeit your enrollment. Limited scholarships are available - please indicate interest in the application form.
Please let our Camp Director, Tyler Pascocello, know if you have any questions by emailing tpascocello@kennebecestuary.org
