Kennebec Estuary Land Trust and Brightfield educators will host a week of adventure, exploration, play, and nature-based art across the estuary!

Nature Explorer Camp with KELT will bring your child to the most beautiful places on the Maine coast and in the Kennebec Estuary this summer. Every day will be a new adventure!
From our home base in Bath, campers will use our school van to: hike in Thorne Head, learn to paddleboard on Sewell Pond, hike Morse Mountain, and learn to clam at Reid (and then build a fire and make fresh clam chowder!). Our week will culminate in a beach day at Fort Popham.
Our educators, Tyler Pascocello (KELT) & Kyle Werner (Brightfield School), come with decades of experience in experiential education that will guarantee some truly sparkling experiences outside in the ponds, marshes, oceans, and forests of this special corner of Maine.

COST
$325 per week
Registration will stay open until February 10th at 5 PM or until slots are filled. Most programs have an enrollment limit of 12 campers.
There is high demand for summer day camp and we want to give families clarity around our process. Sign up will be first come, first serve, and we will prioritize placing all campers in one week of camp per year before considering requests to register for multiple sessions. If you are interested in multiple sessions, please rank your preferences in the registration form.
Camper slots will be allocated within two weeks, and we will contact all families by Friday February 13 if you have a spot in camp, or where you are on the waitlist. Please let us know by March 1 if you would like your spot, so we can release it to another family as soon as possible.
Once you have secured your spot, please complete your camp payment and additional forms by April 1. We understand that camp can be difficult to access as a family, and scholarships are available of $100 off - please indicate interest in the application form.
