Winter Read: CO2 – The Story of Everything

  • Patten Free Library (map)

What’s better in the winter months then a good book?! Join us for a cozy winter book club and author talk this February!

WHEN: Wednesday, February 11th AT 5:30 PM.

WHERE: in person at the patten free library Community Room

Join author and award winning science journalist Peter Brannen in a discussion about his book, The Story of CO2 Is the Story of Everything: How Carbon Dioxide Made Our World. The book explores the profound and pervasive role of carbon dioxide in Earth’s history, from the origins of life to the present-day climate crisis. It argues that CO2 is the fundamental molecule behind Earth’s habitability, evolution of life, and development of human civilization, and that understanding its deep history is crucial for navigating the future of our planet.

Borrow a copy of the book from Patten Free Library, or buy one at Mockingbird Bookshop! There will be time to get your book signed at the program.

This event is accessible to all and welcomes diverse participants from our community. The talk will be presented in person and Zoom. Registration is required for Zoom only—click here!
