Join Merrymeeting Arts Center staff and KELT staff for an evening in the pottery studio exploring some nature based ceramics!
This program will offer multiple styles of nature based ceramic work for all different skills levels to enjoy. No previous ceramics experience needed! One of our favorite techniques is doing leaf prints in clay and what better time to appreciate the beauty of a leaf than in the middle of October. We’ll also go over some techniques for shaping oysters and other creatures to make out of clay. There will be some light instructional periods throughout this program but plenty of opportunities for questions and demonstrations.
There will be a suggested $10 donation to cover the cost of materials and this program will also be capped at 10 participants. Participants will also need to come back to the studio at a later date to pick up their work once they have been fired in the kiln.
