Announcing Good Food Week: July 21-27

A series of eight events hosted by Good Food for Bath collaborators plus ‘Green Plate Specials’ at local restaurants will shine on spotlight on hunger-fighting programs to raise public awareness and participation.

Many of these activities occur regularly in or around Bath, such as gleaning with the Merrymeeting Gleaners or the Summer Meals at the Bath Area YMCA. Good Food Week will showcase how our region is striving to create healthy solutions for a better, well-fed community.

Restaurants will be showcasing local ingredients by creating ‘Green Plate Specials.’ These exclusive menu items will be made from entirely locally sourced ingredients. “Local” meaning sourced from the state of Maine.

In addition, it provides a platform for support between community organizations to continue to work on these convoluted issues.
